AIU student presented paper at the REECAS Northwest Conference 2024 in USA

Aiperi Sharshembieva, a 4th-year student of International Relations Department of the AIU presented her paper titled “China’s Financial Diplomacy in Kyrgyzstan: The Sector of Infrastructure and Energy” at the 30th Annual Conference for Russian, East European, and Central Asian Studies (REECAS) at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA, held from April 11-13, 2024. This interdisciplinary conference, hosted by the Ellison Center for Russian, East European, and Central Asian Studies.
During the three-day event, Aiperi actively engaged in various panel discussions, offering fresh insights and deepening her understanding of international development dynamics. A highlight of her experience was the opportunity to network with esteemed professionals such as Aaron Cohen, Michael Seraphinoff, and Merkhat Shabirzhanov, among others. These interactions not only facilitated discussions on her research but also paved the way for potential future collaborations.
Aiperi's visit to the University of Washington was instrumental in broadening her professional horizons and enhancing her knowledge base.
